This is the original Bikram series that introduced hot yoga to the United States in the 1970s. It is a fixed sequence of 26 postures with 2 breathing techniques, offered in 60 and 90 minute versions. The organization of the postures was thoughtfully designed as a holistic practice for the body; targeting strength, flexibility, and balance. With the repetitive format, it is enlightening to see and feel how the body visibly changes and grows over time. Taught HOT (105+)

As the name implies, this uplifting class asks that you release expectations and allow the journey to unfold. Prepare the body during the warm-up, then work into sequences of standing and balancing postures, threaded together by transitions and breath. Finish with a wind down to savasana to close out the practice. Each class is creatively designed by the teacher to encourage strength, flexibility, and presence on the mat. Modifications and amplifications offered to welcome all levels of experience. Offered WARM (83-87 degrees).

The slow and steady pace of this non-heated class encourages steadiness of body and mind, building strength in longer holds. The extra time in standing postures, along with alignment based cueing and breathwork, allows the practice to work deeper into the body. It also provides opportunity for the students to ground down into the pose, creating a meditative, yet potentially challenging experience on the mat!
